Join us for the fourth annual Kibō Nobori Children’s Day Festival as we proudly celebrate the Japanese holiday Kodomo No Hi in Little Tokyo. “Kodomo No Hi” means “Children’s Day” in Japan and is a day to celebrate and wish for health and good fortune for all children. In partnership with Faith-Ann Kiwa Young, Filled Market, and Terasaki Budokan, it will be a fun-filled day with activities for the whole family!

The ESGVJCC is excited to partner once again with Plaza West Covina and the City of West Covina to present the 2025 Cherry Blossom Festival! This annual festival marks the beginning of spring; the newly emerging blossoms represent hope, beauty, and new life.

Join us at Plaza West Covina to learn more about Japanese culture, indulge in exquisite Japanese and Japanese-American flavors, enjoy traditional music and dance performances, shop at an array of different vendors, and watch Japanese taiko drums and martial arts performances.
